Carshalton Titans

Another great win for the mens team

2nd game of the season against Bucks Bullets, the game was played in stoke mandeville stadium with a lot of the GB coaches and players watching. We started the game a bit rough, needed to get into the rhythm of the game, players and with our new goalkeeper Mauro. Liam McCarthy started in the play-maker role, to setup our attacking plays, made sure the rest of the players had some great scoring opportunists, but unfortunately we couldn’t get these opportunities into a goal. And was down within the first few minutes 3-1. We manged to get the defense up running with Maxwell as the main player to sort it out. Made sure we where stopping Bucks attacking play, made a lot of fouls and interception. And Mauro in the goal had a few important saves that gave us back the confident. The boys picked it up again, with Regis on the wing, Adam on the left back, Liam center, Rob on right back and Remy on the right wing. Adam and Regis was having some great plays, that turned into goals, or into penalties. Maxwell on the pivot position caught every ball passed his way. Goncalo, Grant, Derry and Tyler made a great inhop into the game in the last 10-12 minutes of the first half, and made sure the pace was continued, and we went into half time 10-14. After a great half time talk, we walked back out with great energy and leading with four goals. We knew that we the squad we had that day, we could overcome any obstacle. We kept pushing Bucks bullets in the defense, and kept scoring on our leading chances in the attacking field. A great game for all the players on the court.
