Titans Show Heart in Nail-Biter Against London GD

The Titans pushed London GD to their limits in a fiercely competitive match, showcasing grit, determination, and tactical innovation. While the search for our first win of the season continues, this performance offers plenty of positives to build on as we move forward.

The game plan was clear from the outset: frustrate GD with a dynamic defense and capitalize on our attacking opportunities. One of the standout strategies was the implementation of an aggressive 3-2-1 defensive setup. Designed to disrupt GD’s rhythm and force turnovers, this approach proved highly effective and caught GD by surprise. Despite the energy it demanded, the success of this tactic gave the team an extra push, proving its worth.

However, GD’s blistering speed saw us initially fall behind, with the scoreline at 6-1 early on. The boys quickly adapted, finding their footing as the defensive plan began to bear fruit. By halftime, the gap had been narrowed to just three, with the score at 14-11.

The second half began with Titans in the ascendancy, fueled by sharp shooting and disciplined defensive work. The team clawed their way back into the match, leveling the score at 15-15. Unfortunately, GD’s experience and composure in key moments allowed them to regain the lead, which they held until the final whistle.

Despite the loss, the commitment and cohesion on display—particularly with some key players missing—underscore the depth and quality within the squad. Every player stepped up, proving that this team can challenge even the most formidable opponents.

A special mention goes to Jet, who earned Man of the Match honors for his contributions on fast breaks, penalties, and intelligent play from the backcourt.
