Season opening game!

Carshalton Titans Fall to Olympia in Season Opener

The new Premier League season kicked off with high anticipation as the Carshalton Titans faced a strong Olympia side at Barking.

With a solid squad bolstered by exciting new additions, the team was eager to make a strong start to the campaign.

The first half proved to be a tightly contested affair, with Olympia maintaining a narrow lead throughout.

However, a determined push from the Titans towards the end of the half kept the game within reach, heading into the break just one goal behind at 16-15.

Fully aware of Olympia’s strengths—particularly their speed on fast breaks and aggressive first-wave attacks—the Titans came out with a game plan. However, despite several opportunities to capitalize on Olympia’s two-minute suspensions in the second half, we were unable to turn the momentum in our favor. Olympia continued to be clinical, gradually stretching their advantage to secure a 34-26 win.

While the result was disappointing, there were positives to take from the performance. The team displayed moments of strong play, and with adjustments, we’re confident in bouncing back stronger in the coming games.

A special mention goes to Jet, who earned Man of the Match honors with an impressive debut, posing a constant threat on the left wing and during fast breaks.

Scorers: Damianou 6, Dore 5, To 4, Latter 3, Viljoen 3, Emans 2, Gilborn 1, Turc 1, Mulonso 1.
